About Us
Smart Vault Multipurpose Co-operative Society Limited was incorporated on the 04th day of May, 2023 in Rivers State under the Nigeria Co-operative Societies Decree No 90 of 1993(now an Act of 2004). It is a voluntary association of individuals/legal persons united by common bond, who have come together to pursue their socio-economic goals for their own benefits with high regards to non-members.
Our Objectives:
- To encourage thrift among members so that each member may cultivate the habit of making savings at least once monthly, with a view to building up funds for their individual future use.
- To promote mutual co-operation among members.
- To acquire acres of land for sale, lease or Estate development to meet the housing needs of members or for residential, commercial or industrial purposes as a form of investment for the economic benefit of members and other interested parties.
- To undertake and invest in new ventures beneficial to its members and the Society as approved by the Management Committee. These include Projects Financing; Feasibility Studies, business plan etc.
- To encourage fixed deposits from members out of which a fund may be established for giving short-term loans to members, to acquire stock of shares and other rewarding ventures.
- To do anything within the law and enter into any transaction which in the Society's opinion is necessary to ensure the proper performance of its functions or the attainment of the above listed objects.
Our Services: Tailored to You
Target Savings
- Not everyone has the habit of saving, but we make it easy and rewarding, like finding a hidden treasure. Your goals, whether for tuition, rent, a car, or home ownership, are within reach. We give our members good returns during and after saving.
- Note: It’s best to keep your savings until the end of your chosen tenure (e.g., 12 months), except in rare emergencies.
Monthly Contribution/Lump Sum
- This continuous savings plan offers you up to 30% Dividend + Bonus annually, like a tree that consistently bears abundant fruit. It also gives you access to a 200% personal or business loan.
- Note: Your contribution is as secure as gold in a vault for as many years as you wish to save.
Personal or Business Loan: Your Bridge to Opportunity
The surest way to secure a loan at Smart Vault is by becoming a member. Only members are entitled to loans, whether for business or personal needs. We’ve structured it so members can borrow 5 times the amount they’ve saved, like multiplying your efforts for bigger rewards. The only requirement is to convince us with a workable repayment plan.
Here’s how:
- Start a membership plan.
- Refer a minimum of 2 persons who also become members, with 50% of your savings as their contribution.
- Request a loan!
- Note: Your savings account is separate from your loan account.
Education Finance
- Need help with school fees? This caters to members who have saved for at least 12 months. They receive 30% interest of the amount saved annually to cover education expenses, like a strong wind filling the sails of a student’s journey. Tenor and conditions vary based on membership duration.
Rent Finance
- We care about your well-being. We offer rent financing, like a helping hand to open the door to your new home, for members who can show they can repay quickly. This is a shorter-duration loan, and members must have saved half the requested rent amount.
LPO or Project Finance
- Businesses need funds to grow, like a plant needing water to flourish. We’re ready to partner with you when you need urgent funds to execute contracts. We finance Local Purchase Orders and Supply on your behalf at a fair rate, with a maximum tenor of three (3) months.
Equipment and Lease Finance
- Access loans to buy home or office equipment or your dream automobile with just a 20% initial down payment, like a key unlocking your desired possessions. Repayment can be spread over up to 2 years. Comprehensive insurance is shared between the cooperative and the borrower. You need to be a member for at least six months, have paid up your share capital, and made at least one month’s savings.
Bulk Purchase: Saving You Money Every Day
At Smart Vault, we understand that daily living expenses can impact financial freedom. We’re committed to being part of your daily life. Our society operates a ‘members only’ monthly/periodic food share. We acquire a variety of food items and daily needs products for direct supply to members at very large discounts, like a secret market where prices are always low. As a cooperative, we enjoy bargain purchases with manufacturers who deliver products at reduced rates. This bulk-buying system ensures 90% of our products have discounts only available to members, freeing up funds for your savings!
Service Conditions: What You Need to Know
- Only members on the Monthly Contribution plan are eligible for loans.
- You must have referred 2 people to join the cooperative and have saved for at least 6 months.
- Your referrals should be able to act as guarantors for your loan request.
- Members can take loans valued 200% more than their total savings.
- Personal and business loans help members save money and repay over a reasonable period at a fair and fixed interest rate.
- Repayment will be as agreed and signed by the member.
- To access any loan, you must be a registered member making regular contributions for at least six months.
- Loans are insured at a specified cost to the eligible member.
- Loans attract 20% interest annually, on a pro-rata basis on your monthly or one-off contribution to our projects, with a minimum of N20,000 per month.
- One-off membership registration fee is N35,000.
- Each member on Target Savings will be rewarded with up to 15% project finance support + your total savings.
- Each member on Monthly Lump Sum Contribution will receive up to 30% Dividend + Bonus annually.

Your investments with Smart Vault are as secure as a priceless artifact in a fortified vault. Upon subscribing to the membership savings plan, we provide:

Terms & Conditions: Know the Rules of Engagement
Please read these terms and Conditions carefully. This Agreement sets out the legally binding terms and conditions. By joining Smart Vault Multipurpose Cooperative as a member, you confirm that you understand and agree to all the terms stated herein.
Mode of Payment: Safe and Secure
Smart Vault Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited does NOT accept payments by bank transfer, deposit, cheques, bank drafts, or cash through any Agent, Consultant, or Associate of the company. All payments should be made through the designated payment channels in favor of Smart Vault Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited. Smart Vault shall not be liable for any loss due to failure to adhere strictly to these terms and conditions. This is to ensure your funds are as safe as coins in a locked strongbox.
Yearly Returns and Profit Sharing
If a member’s savings reach the one-year target, they can request their Capital plus Profit share, Capital only, or Profit Share only by sending a notice to Smart Vault via customer care or email. A 5% service charge will be deducted from the profit value to cover bank and other charges at the end of the tenure.
Termination: Understanding Your Options
For personal or business reasons, neither party should seek to terminate this Agreement BEFORE OR ON the period of 3 months from the effective date. However, a party can send a written notice of termination at least 2 months before the termination date. If you terminate the Agreement before maturity, you will forfeit all accrued profit share.
Fraud/Illegality: Playing by the Rules
The Cooperative shall not be liable for any damages at tort or under criminal code and laws of the federation for such deposits received from you that are illegal or questionable. We operate with integrity, like a clear stream without murky depths.
Right to Update: Adapting to the Market
The Cooperative reserves the right to update its policies at any given time to cater for changes in the industry and market space, like a responsive captain adjusting sails to the wind.
